Oscar composer Michael Dana ("Life of Pi") won the "Best Music" award

The winner in the "Best Music" is Michael Dana ("Life of Pi").

Michael Dana for the soundtrack to "Life of Pi" has received the "Golden Globe". He was the author of the music for the film "The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus", "500 Days of summer," "Little Miss Sunshine," "Girl, Interrupted" and other.

Also in this category were presented Dario Marianellif or "Anna Karenina", Alexandre Desplat - "Operation" Argo ", John Williams for  Lincoln, "Thomas Newman foe" 007: coordinates "Skyfall."

 "Life of Pi" received four statuettes "Oscar" in the category "Best Director" (Ang Lee), "Best Cinematography" (Claudio Miranda), "Best Visual Effects" (Bill Westenhofer, Guillaume Rosheron, Erik-Jan de Boer and Donald R. Elliott) and "Best original Music" (Michael Dana). The film was presented in 11 categories: besides the above four seven - "Best Film" (Ang Lee, Gil Netter, David Uomark), "Best Adapted Screenplay" (David Magee), "Best Editing" (Tim Skuayrs), "Best Song "(Michael Danna, Bombay Jaish, “Pi’s Lullaby’).

The best film of the year announced U.S. first lady Michelle Obama. The main "Oscar" went to the film "Operation" Argo ".
