Sally Matthews and orchestra "New Russia gave performance in Moscow

Russian debut under the sign of Mozart: lyric soprano Sally Matthews gave performance at the Concert Hall named after Tchaikovsky as part of the series "Stars of World Opera".

Sally Matthews is an exquisite UK soprano and a true master of stage reincarnation. For expressive acting, and, of course, for a charismatic voice, she is often invited to sing at the best stages: from Europe to Australia. Any music is subject to her lyric soprano. From Handel and Strauss to Britten and Poulenc, with breaks for South Korean Jin Ynsuk. Matthews prepared Mozart for the Russian debut.

“Mozart isthe best program for the Russian audience, said Sally Matthews. People love him here and perform his music very often. For me it is a brilliant opportunity to introduce my Mozart, especially for those who hear his music for first time. «In addition to the repertoire Sally Matthews performed the most difficult concert arias which are almost never heard in Russia due to technical complexity. This evening the British conductor Christopher Mulds conducted the orchestra. In life he is almost a neighbor of Sally,  they live within five kilometers of each other. With a wave of maestro sticks the  Orchestra "New Russia" played with this Mozartian lightness.
