Yuri Bashmet festival will celebrate its anniversary

The violist and conductor Yuri Bashmet will be 60 years on January 24. In connection with the anniversary of the musician a holiday festival will be held in Moscow

The festival concerts will be held on January 23 and January 27 in the Grand Hall of the Moscow Conservatory, and on January 24, on the birthday of Yuri Bashmet. Its celebration will be held at the PI Tchaikovsky Concert Hall.

The festival will feature: violinists Anne-Sophie Mutter, Maxim Vengerov, Pianist Denis Matsuev and Oleg Maisenberg, conductor Valery Gergiev, cellist Giovanni Sollima, jazz violinist Jean-Luc Ponty, clarinetist Michel Portal, Wu Man (pipa), Igor Butman (saxophone), Alan Baev (violin), Oleg Menshikov, Yevgeny Mironov, and many others.

In all three of the concerts, he celebrates the anniversary, as well as the team he Chamber Ensemble "Soloists of Moscow" and the State Symphony Orchestra "New Russia."
