The eighth Crescendo music festival

The eighth Crescendo music festival will bring together the best representatives of a new generation of Russian musicians and international stars in Pskov from 1 to 4 of October.

 

"The spectators will see a constellation of talented young musicians. Sixteen solo instrumentalists will come out on the stage. Some young musicians are already well known among Pskovians, and they again will delight the spectators with their creativity at the festival in Pskov. Some names will be discovered by the audience for the first time. Among them, a leading New York drummer Alexandra Mogilevich, a saxophonist Nikolay Vitskevich and guitarist Dmitry Illarionov ", said the spokesperson.
The chamber concert will open the Festival with the participation of art director of the festival, pianist Denis Matsuev. «The main hero of the next two days will be The Big Symphony Orchestra named after P.I. Tchaikovsky. The final concert will be held traditionally in jazz style. In October, 4 Pskovians will hear Symphojazz of the Ivanov Brothers with the participation of the Pskov Oblast Philharmonic Orchestra. The Symphojazz involves the fusion of different directions in music, fusion of symphonic arrangements with a modern jazz and rock rhythms », - said the agency interlocutor.
The Crescendo Festival, following goals to promote Russian Performing School, is held in different cities, but for several years it begins in the ancient Russian city of Pskov.
«The Crescendo Festival is important for the Pskov region, not only as the time of contact with the great music. It became a platform, which brings together all of our musical community. Thanks to the festival the performing skills quality increased in our region. Our Crescendo is for the long haul », - said the Chairman of the State Committee for Culture of the Pskov region, Alexander Golyshev, adding that the regional administration provides full support, including financial aid in organization of the Festival.
