The world famous jazz stars will perform in Chelyabinsk

The unique concert with the participation of world-renowned jazz stars American trumpeter Jason Palmer and Alexis Podymkinarno quartet will take place in Chelyabinsk, in the Sergei Prokofiev Concert Hall on October 12.

Trumpeter, composer, arranger and educator Jason Palmer is one of the most popular jazz artists and one of the active participants of the biggest jazz festivals in the UK, Ireland, Germany, Finland, Croatia, Canada, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Switzerland, France, and the Netherlands.

He has performed at numerous jazz clubs around the world, touring in Austria, Germany and was introduced in the programs of several festivals on the East Coast of the U.S. in the Grace Kelly Quintet. Palmer's first album «Songbook» was recognized as one of the best in 2007 in a jazz style and has received many rave reviews.

In general, under his own name he recorded three albums, and he also participated in the recording of more than a dozen albums as a soloist. Stressful touring rhythm does not prevent Jason Palmer from teaching practice. Now he is an assistant professor at Berkley College of Music in Boston. Master classes in Portugal, France, the UK and Mexico were very successful.

Alexei Potemkin is a soloist and virtuoso pianist. Many times he performed with Russian and foreign jazz stars: Igor Butman, Valery Ponomarev, Arkady Shilkloper, Joe Locke, Tommy Campbell, and Paul Bollenbekom. The jazz quartet Alexei Podymkin consists of saxophonist Sergey Baulin, bass Sergei Vasiliev, drummer David Tkebuchava. The concert program of Jason Palmer and the quartet includes popular jazz standards in original arrangements and original compositions.
